So!YoOn! is the psychedelic indie new wave South Korean artist fronting the rock band by the name of Se So Neon (which literally means “New Youngsters”). She’s our biggest crush of 2021.

‘긴 꿈 (A Long Dream)’ is one of my all-time favorite tracks by Se So Neon. The band, with So!YoOn!, Hwang So-Yoon (guitar/vocal), Moon Fancy (bass), and Gang To (drums) are everything you need to get through this life. In early 2020 So!YoOn! made an appearance on the newly created ‘How Do You Play’ Variety Show hosted by Yoo Jae Suk where she takes on a challenge to produce a song with Sumin. I’ve always been interested in the burgeoning Korean culture & music but I can’t quite describe how it felt to discover this band. A real connection?
If you’re looking for something a little different from the mainstream Kpop and idol scene, So!YoOn is a South Korean singer-songwriter, composer, and musician under Magic Strawberry Sound. Se So Neon is a breath of fresh air with sounds that dismantle preconceived notions of music from South Korea.
